About IDEA Lab
AICTE IDEA (Idea Development, Evaluation, and Application) lab is being established to encourage students to apply Science, Technological, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) time fundamentals towards enhancing hands-on experience, learning by doing, and even product visualization. As a common facility embedded in the institute, the ideal lab will make engineering graduates more imaginative and creative by getting basic training of 21st-century skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, design thinking, collaboration, contribution, lifelong learning etc. The ideal lab can empower the students and faculty to encourage explorer experience to express themselves and excel addressing the needs of new age learning. Idea lab would serve as infrastructure for faculty to take upon and promote multidisciplinary education research. Accordingly, faculty would be encouraged to get trained in these labs and strive find create problems/ projects/ internships in their subjects/ disciplines and mentor the students.
The IDEAL lab will provide all facilities under one roof, fire conversion of an idea into a prototype. The idea need not always a new (which will always be encouraged) but the emphasis would be graduating engineers with their hands using equipment tools and consumables. With these facilities available 24/7 on the campus, more students and faculty will be encouraged to take up creative work processes.
